Graveyard Ghosts
This was a project for a Digital Image class. I was given the freedom to pick my own subject matter so naturally I went as odd as I could think of. With the help of my father, brother and girlfriend I went out to five different graveyards with a camera, a white bedsheets, a grim reaper costume a flashlight and a propane lantern around dusk. The process for creating the ghosts was simple, throw a bedsheets in the air and shine a light on it while taking a picture with a slow shutter speed. The series was originally in Black and White, but when presenting a rough version of the project, my printer ran out of ink and my prints came out an red orange color, which ended up adding character to them, taking them out of the realm of simple black and white graveyard photos.
